STA. BARBARA, ILOILO: PDEA-6 led by Asst. Regional Director Donelyn M. Hemedez visited the Center for Agriskills and Livelihoods, Inc. located at Brgy. Magancina, Sta. Barbara Iloilo yesterday, September 10, 2020.
The center caters to numerous skills enhancement trainings to help Balay Silangan drug-surrenderers to change their lives for the better and to rebuild themselves into self-sufficient, productive individuals and law-abiding members of society.
The agri-skills center also offers several skills-set training not only in reforming drug dependents but also provide mental health awareness and management in this time of pandemic.
As a reformation program, Balay Silangan Reformation Program delivers a holistic approach to reforming drug offenders and is built to give hope to surrendering drug offenders.
With other partner agencies, the Balay Silangan Program provides interventions like continuing education, counseling, moral recovery and health awareness, values formation and employment opportunities.
PDEA-6 is also looking into the opportunity to provide psychological and mental awareness program through gardening, soap and dress-making, and embracing organic living for its personnel especially its agents to cope with the demands of their responsibilities amidst the COVID-19 virus.
